Rural road cycling survey 2014
Waikato Regional Council has undertaken research to better understand the extent and nature of rural road cycling. It will inform policy and investment decisions related to cycling infrastructure.
The research involved interviews with key stakeholders and a web survey. This report summarises the interview and web survey processes and presents analysis of the findings.
The report concludes with recommendations regarding how the unique and comprehensive research findings can be used to inform policy and practice for Waikato Regional Council, and as an example of an investigation into road user behaviour that can be used as a model for other investigations.
